Mildred Yellin Greene, 74, of Hartford, Conn., formerly of Duluth died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, in Southington, Conn.

She was born August 8, 1929, in New York, N.Y. to Norman and Yetta (Sambufsky) Yellin. She married Edward A. Greene on March 19, 1949, in New York and then moved to Duluth. She lived in Duluth moving to Minneapolis in the early 1980' and then to Connecticut. While in Connecticut, Mildred was a member of Tifferth Israel Synagogue.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward A. Greene in 1984.

She is survived by her daughter, Marvis (William) Tobin of Southington, Conn.; son, Roger (Judy) Greene of Duluth; grandchildren, Stacey (Steven) Breton, David (Amy) Knapp, Jodie Greene and Andrew Greene; sister, Sally Dworetsky of West Hartford, Conn. and her brother, Ronald Yellin of Fairlawn, N.J.

GRAVESIDE SERVICES: 11 a.m., Friday, at Shaare Tezedek Cemetery, Hermantown. Arrangements by Doughtery Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St., 727-3555

GREENE, Mildred (Yellin) Mildred (Yellin) Greene, 74, of Hartford and a former long-time resident of Daluth, MN, died Tuesday, (June 15, 2004) with family by her side. She was the beloved wife for 34 years of the late Edward Greene. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Norman and Vetta Yellin. Mildred was a nurses aid for 20 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by a brother Ronald Yellin and his wife Nancy of Fairlawn, NJ and sister Sally Dworetsky and her husband Benjamin "Bob" of West Hartford, and two children Roger Greene and his wife Judy of Daluth, MN and daughter Mavis Tobin and her husband William of Southington and four cherished grandchildren, Jodi, Andrew, David and Stacey and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held on Friday, June 18, in Daluth, MN. Donations in her honor may be made to Beth Hillel Synagogue, 160 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield, 06002. During Shiva the Dworetsky family will be attending Beth Hillel services. Local funeral arrangements provided by the Hebrew Funeral Association, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford.
